Hey people of Hope!

There’s a bed of Iris plants in full bloom behind the childrens wing – Wow! I must confess that Iris flowers are my favorite…..in fact it was I who planted that particular bed. Three years ago there was a small, gnarled, weed-infested mass of untended Iris plants growing alongside the back of the auditorium. I dug up all the bulbs, split off the new shoots and replanted them. Now, instead of a small row of dying plants there is a small row of thriving plants plus a whole new bed! I think that’s part of the fascination I have with Iris plants….with a little work, they multiply. The same thing happens with people, “And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.” (2 Timothy 2:2) It takes a little time and effort to invest in a life for Jesus but there always comes a time when multiplication happens. BAM! They begin to influence others for Jesus. That’s why I like ministry. With an Iris; the right soil, light and moisture produce more Iris plants….with people; the right love, Word and encouragement produce more followers of Jesus.

BUILDING MEETING POSTPONED

The evening service will be back on! The meeting originally scheduled for this Sunday evening will be rescheduled for a future date. There have been considerations that will result in some good plan modifications.

MENS BREAKFAST - Saturday

Come up at 8:00 this Saturday for a great breakfast, some great brothers and a great story from one of our own.

WORK DAY – Saturday

Come on up and help fix and spruce up the place at 9:00 this Saturday. All kinds of fun stuff is planned even for the most inept among us.

SPORTS CAMP NEW VOLUNTEER MEETING - Sunday

Come out to hear how God can use you at Sports Camp this summer. Meeting will be right after 2^nd service in the auditorium.

HOMELESS HELP

There are still spots to sign up to feed homeless men in Kent June 1-15^th. Mark it on a connection card or email Donna Drury at 42-432-2289

NEWCOMERS CLASS

Interested in learning more about Hope? Interested in joining Hope? Join me on June 3 at 12:20 (after the 2^nd service) in room 203 for some lunch and discussion. Childcare is available. Let me know.

June 17^th. Are you ready for baptism? It’s God’s will for everyone who is a follower of Jesus. It’s the way you come forward and profess your faith publicly. Let me know if you’d like to talk about it.
