Sundays with Us

What to Expect

PARKING
When you arrive, if the lot is full, there are spots on the grass by the playground behind the building, feel free to park creatively anywhere you like.

FRONT DOORS
You will be greeted out front by a friendly person or two who simply wants to say hello and hand you a pamphlet about what’s happening this week.

LOBBY
People will be hanging out, talking or getting a cup of coffee from our coffee bar.

CHILDREN’S WING
The children’s wing is off to the right of the lobby for nursery up through 5th grade. We have a safe and exciting place for your children to enjoy the company of other kids their own age. They’ll be taught and cared for by equipped and screened leaders.  We also offer a great curriculum that engages the children and teaches them about the truth found in the Bible. The vast majority of kids have a wonderful time and look forward to coming back.

AUDITORIUM
To the left of the lobby is our auditorium, feel free to have a seat with your coffee and enjoy the music. The start time is always accurate.

CLOTHES
We have a come as you are approach at Hope Fellowship. Sometimes the fear of not having the right clothes keeps people from visiting; we never want that to happen. The pastor usually has on a pair of jeans with an untucked button-up shirt. Sometimes he’s out-dressed by other people and sometimes he isn’t. Who cares! Just show up.

MUSIC
If you have been in a “traditional” church sometime in your past you will notice our music is a little different. If you have never been in church before you’ll notice familiar instruments; drums, guitars, keyboards and some good voices that make a great contemporary sound. Of course we’re not going to be singing “Highway to hell” but you may be tapping your feet just the same as we sing about God and what He means to us.

MESSAGE
The message on Sunday morning focuses on helping people learn the Bible which we believe is God’s communication to humanity. At times a particular section (or book) of the Bible will be taught for a few weeks, and at other times a particular topic may be presented in light of what the Bible has to say. There are times of laughter and times of self-examination, but you always leave with something that you can apply to your life.

NO ARM-TWISTING
Our hope is that you wouldn’t feel pressure from us to do anything you don’t want to do.
We don’t pass an offering plate; there are collection boxes on the back wall for those who give financially. We won’t ask you to raise your hand or stand up if you’re new. We provide tear-off strips on the pamphlet you get when you come in so you can let us know if there’s anything you’re interested in. Just put it in one of the collection boxes on the wall by the doors of the auditorium.

YOUTH
Junior High and Senior High students not only have an exciting program on Wednesday nights but also a time together on Sundays starting at 9:00 while the first service is taking place.

CLASSES
If you’d like an extra learning time with a smaller group of people; at 9:00 and 10:45 you have the opportunity to spend time learning the Bible in one of our classrooms. Our 9:00 class is studying Biblical Foundations with several quality adult teachers from our church rotating through the teaching of the class. This class exists as a rotating class for the students - in other words someone could join the class at any point, stay for a year and learn the material. Our 10:45 class is walking through different books of the Bible. Please feel free to drop in either of these classes at any point.
