BIBLICAL FOUNDATIONS CLASS

Whether you’ve known Jesus for a while or just new to the faith, you may be hungry for a solid handle on the foundational teachings of the Bible. Some call it foundational teaching, some call it basic theology and others call it biblical doctrine. Do you have a grasp on the foundational teachings of our faith? The class will begin on Sunday, September 12th at 9:15 in our education wing. There will be several quality adult teachers from our church rotating through the teaching of the class. This class will exist as a rotating class for the students – in other words someone could join the class at any point, stay for a year and learn the material.

BAPTISMS

Baptisms will be taking place on Sunday the 22nd. Baptism is for anyone who has made a decision to put their faith in Jesus as God’s payment for their sin. It is a public profession of your faith in Jesus therefore it is for people who are mature enough to understand their personal need for God’s salvation. Baptism doesn’t save anyone; it is simply a response to what we’re told to do as a church by Jesus in Matthew 28:19. If you’ve never take the step of baptism after you believed, talk with me about it.

YOUNG ADULTS

For any interested young adult or person who thinks they’re young and resembles an adult – we’re going to the Point Defiance Zoo! Meet us at 9:00 this Saturday (31st) in the Hope parking lot to carpool to the zoo. Bring whatever you need for lunch and admission. We hope to be home by 4:00.

YOUTH BBQ AND GAMES AT FLAMING GEYSER STATE PARK

Join us for a BBQ, games, and possible swimming at Flaming Geyser State Park from 6-8:30 pm on Wednesday, July 28. Bring something to share and we’ll supply the hot dogs & hamburgers.
